Hi! I'm Elbi.
I began my journey in the U.S. Air Force, drawn to service but always craving more autonomy, creativity, and connection. That pursuit led me from global deployments to theatre management, from community spaces to city hall—and eventually to founding The Culturist Union, the first Black woman-owned coffee shop and artisan marketplace in Savannah. Along the way, I became a sought-after communications strategist, helping cities shape public policy, nonprofits raise capital, and leaders reclaim their narratives. Whether I’m advising on a six-figure campaign or mentoring a young changemaker, I do it all as a mother, builder, and believer in what’s possible.

“Life isn’t one-dimensional—and neither are we.”
This site is for people living layered, values-driven lives. The ones building something meaningful—whether it’s a business, a family, a legacy, or simply a version of life that feels like their own.
Like me, they move fluidly between roles: leader, caregiver, creative, strategist. They’re drawn to thoughtful storytelling, curated experiences, soulful living, practical insight, and honest reflections on what it means to live and lead with intention.
Some come here for a communications or philanthropy consultation. Others want to learn from my experience as a founder. Many are simply looking for something personal to take with them—a routine, a recipe, a rhythm. This site is designed to meet them where they are and reflect what I know, how I live, and what’s possible when you pursue your passions and live in your truth.
Behind the Creator
Dive in more as I pull back the curtain a little. Beyond my work and writing, these are the pieces that shape me—the ideas I return to, the aesthetics that move me, and the stories that stay with me. My mood board reflects the colors, textures, and sparks of creativity that keep me inspired, while my bookshelf holds the voices and visions that continue to guide my thinking. Together, they’re a glimpse into the world behind the work.

Stories That Shaped Me
These aren’t just books I’ve read—they’re ones I’ve underlined, returned to, and reflected on throughout different seasons of building and becoming:
